About Disabilities Resource Centre Trust
The Disabilities Resource Centre Trust (DRCT) is situated at 141 -143 King Street in Whakatane.

It is a client driven organisation, with 50% of the governing body having a disability or being closely associated to someone that does.
Today, the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust is a Charitable Trust and operates with a General Manager and teams consisting of Home Care Services, Community Services, Advocacy, Information and Administration.
The team environment allows for innovative and progressive ideas to be acted upon in a timely manner. Due to the ever-changing environment of the Health and Disability sector this is essential for any organisation meeting the challenges and opportunity of change.
The services offered by the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust have increased to meet the growing demands expected by a large number of people in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region. The Disabilities Resource Centre Trust today is a prime example of how the social needs and responsibilities of a community can be effectively incorporated into a professional business environment. The social conscience versus the business theory of profit-driven management can co-exist and the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust today is evidence of this.
The Disabilities Resource Centre Trust continues to provide a range of health, well-being and support services catering for people with a huge range and level of disabilities, along with offering fully-equipped conference facilities for use by the entire community. However, foremost in the minds and hearts of those involved with the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust is the people for whom the organisation was established. Our services are tailored to meet the needs and goals of the many hundreds of people with disabilities that we assist every day.
