Register to become a Care Worker
If you are a communicator who enjoys working with people and improving their quality of life, then a career as a Careworker may be just what you are looking for.
Whether you are interested in full or part-time work, a career as a Careworker will provide you with the flexibility and fulfillment. With some 300 clients in the Eastern Bay of Plenty region, Careworkers are often sought after.
It may be that you want to work part-time around the children or because you’re nearing retirement age – then perhaps you could provide a “Tuck In” service for one or two clients. This service entails checking on clients at a specified time in the evening to ensure they have eaten, that their house is secure and that they are generally okay. If you prefer working full-time, then you can become a Careworker for a number of clients during the day.
All candidates will need to undertake the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust employment process which includes a Police background check.
