Disabilities Resource Centre Trust Services
Home Care
Home Care service is ideally suited to assist people with disabilities or older people. It involves the provision of personal care and home help.
Vocational and Community Activities
There are a number of vocational courses run by the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust that provide a higher quality of life for people with a disability as well as offering new challenges.
Field Officers
Recognising the needs of people throughout the Eastern Bay of Plenty community, the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust co-ordinates a number of Field Officers. These Field Officers provide specialist services to people with specific disabilities or injuries.
Adult Literacy Services
The Adult Literacy Service is provided as part of the Vocational Programme offered by the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust.
Hearing Therapist
A fully trained Hearing Therapist visits the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust every month to check and monitor people’s hearing. This is a free service available to anyone in the community.
Independent living service
For someone with a disability, the transition from living within a facility or at home with family to an independent living situation often requires on-going support and assistance.
Information Services
The Disabilities Resource Centre Trust also provides open access to an extensive Information Services area (or library).
