Information Services

The Disabilities Resource Centre Trust also provides open access to an extensive Information Services area and library.

Our community library provides many items (both electronically and also in book or newsletter form) with up-to-date information relevant to the needs, interests and concerns of people with disabilities and the elderly.

Items available for people include:

  • Newsletters
  • FundView (a funding database of community groups)

Topics range from: 

Accommodation; the Ageing Process; Disorders and Disabilities; Building Codes for Access and Mobility; Vehicle Adaptation and Driving Assessments; Support Groups; Equipment Suppliers, Manufacturers, Repairers; Modified Housing.

If you or someone you know has been recently diagnosed with a sickness or disability, we can access information and research if there are any particular support groups available to join.

It could be that you would like to ensure that you are receiving the right Benefit from the NZ Government. People are encouraged to bring along a family member for support if required.
