Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a community service supported by the Disabilities Resource Centre Trust. Meals are delivered to specified clients at midday five days per week, with three meals delivered on Fridays if weekend meals are required.
Costing $7.05 each, meals are served hot at midday and comprise a main course and a dessert. People either pay for meals themselves or have the costs of Meals on Wheels funded / directed to a family member. Invoices are sent every two weeks for the meals, either to the person directly, or to the person who manages the client’s funding.
Meals on Wheels organisers need to be advised of any special dietary requirements for diabetics or for people who are vegetarian, or who don’t eat fish etc.
