Our Difference

At the Disabilities Resource Centre, we believe that disability is not defined by a person’s impairment, but by the barriers, physical, social, and attitudinal that stand in the way.

This is why we are committed to breaking down those barriers and building a more inclusive community where everyone can thrive. We want to make sure that everyone has the chance to be included and to live the life they want with choice, control and flexibility.

Our Mission Statement is "Empowering people to live with dignity, independence and connection in their own homes and communities".  For us, it's not about what you can't do, it’s about what you want to do and how we can support you to get there. Your goals, your voice, your choices - these are at the heart of everything we do.

What drives us every day is the knowledge that our work makes a meaningful difference. Whether we’re providing in-home support, vocational, or disability information, we are here to walk alongside you, offering choice, control, and flexibility every step of the way.

Our services are built on a foundation of strong, values, we are:
